About Gosport
Gosport is a town of over 85000 inhabitants,
situated on the South Coast of England, in Hampshire.
It lies opposite the city of Portsmouth, on the western
side of Portsmouth Harbour. There is a ferry to Portsmouth.
It forms part of the South Hampshire conurbation.
The Rowner area of the peninsula was known to have
been settled in Saxon times Cherque Farm, Also Alverstoke
(a town within the boundaries of Gosport) was included
in the Doomsday Book.[1] with settlements in the wider
region dating back much earlier [2] The borough's
name is believed to derive from 'gorse' or 'goose'.
There are countless ways to enjoy your leisure time

lover. Gosport's peninsular location, with 17 miles
(27km) of water frontage on Portsmouth Harbour and
